Ƶ Psychology Lecturer James Pfaus Receives Distinguished Service Award
Ƶ congratulates the Psychology Lecturer James Pfaus in receiving the 2026 Distinguished Service Award from the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
“This dynamic and influential organization is blazing a trail worldwide for women’s sexual health and has been a scientific family for me since its inception in 2000. I am grateful for their support of basic preclinical science and its inclusion in the program of every meeting. I learn so much every meeting,” said Pfaus.
Pfaus holds doctoral degrees in neuroscience and psychology, specializing in sexual health, sexual medicine, and the neurobiology of sexual behavior, which he studies in rats at his laboratory in the Center for Sexual Health and Interventions at the Czech National Institute of Mental Health.
